There was a little antique desk with a mirror by the french doors to the balcony that I did my makeup at. The bathroom was small with no counter space but it worked great for my needs. I stayed in a room that had a balcony, overlooked the pool, and had an in room bathroom. The inside of the house is eclectic with glass blown sculpture, Native American artifacts, and beautiful rugs. To open the front door you have to turn the key and the handle at the same time which made it tricky with full hands. Parking is plentiful in the area and they have parking passes on a first come first serve basis. Guests are not allowed to visit to help with other guests privacy and if you do have someone over you're asked to escort them out. When you get to the house you have to ring the buzzer to be let in. Capitol Hill is a walkable and charming neighborhood.
